What day is it? Who am I, and what’s my name? It feels as though each day has become one recently, and if you didn’t know, the clocks went back last Sunday! This means it’s officially springtime… so it’s time we spring into the new season and embrace all that it brings. We’ve put together some easy tips so that you can get ready for spring, even when you’re stuck inside!
Embrace the small rise in temperature and get some fresh air. Open up windows and doors to stop your home feeling stuffy, or go and spend some time in the garden! Whether it’s gardening, sitting reading a book or doing some meditation (like Lizzo!), these are easy ways to get some fresh air and boost your mood too.
The season has arrived and with so much time on our hands, it’s the perfect time to have a proper clearout. Whether you’re clearing out your entire house or simply limiting it to your wardrobe, get rid of anything and everything that no longer serves a purpose or makes you feel good.
Colour is an easy mood booster so this is the perfect time to invest. From vibrant reds and deep blues to soft pastel hues, bring your most colourful clothing to the forefront of your wardrobe. Mix and match colours and prints and have fun with what you’re wearing – there are no rules when you’re at home, other than wear what makes you feel good!

Fill your home with bright blooming flowers and plants and bring the outdoors to you. Not only will it give your home a little visual refresh, but studies have shown flowers and plants improve productivity and serve as a mood booster too – win win!
Make the most of your one hour, head out on a walk somewhere quiet, breathe and look around. It’s important to keep your mind active and clear and walking is a great way to do this, plus you get to really embrace the change of season!
Some days you will be a banana bread making machine who has everything together and you’ll fly through your jobs list. Some days just making a cup of tea is an achievement, and that is okay. None of us planned for the lockdown, and none of us really know what to do, but we are all in this together, celebrate the wins big or small.
We want to encourage conversation and keep in touch, so why not head over to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and tell us your favourite tip and what you’re up to using the hashtag #ThisIsYours – we can’t wait to hear from you.
