Out with the old and in with the new, as they say! Now we are in lockdown with little to do, there’s never been a more perfect time to give your wardrobe a much-needed refresh.
It’s time to ditch the clothes that no longer make you feel good and swap out your winter clothes for your spring/summer favourites. Not sure where to start first? We’re here to give you a little helping hand…
1. Get Rid Of Clothing That Doesn’t Make You Feel Good
It’s all about making ourselves feel as good as we can right now, so let’s start with our clothes! Pull out everything from your wardrobe and your drawers and really think about the last time you wore it. Have you worn it in the past year? No? Then do you REALLY need to keep it? If it’s not serving a purpose, get it gone. Why not donate to a charity shop or set up a Depop page and make some money? At least then you can treat yourself to something new. Easy, right?
2. Swap Winter Clothes For Spring/Summer
The weather is FINALLY hotting up and it’s time to embrace that seasonal change in our wardrobes. It’s time to make room for cute Bardot tops, pretty floral vests and cropped denim and pack away those chunky knits and heavy layers.
3. Re-order Your Wardrobe
Now you’ve got some organisation, it’s time to clear up your ‘floordrobe’. It’s time to find a new home for everything. Start by categorising the styles and then arrange them out by colour. This will make searching for whatever you’re looking for so much quicker. Daytime dressing will really never be easier!
4. Most Importantly, Treat Yourself
Like we said at the start, it’s all about making ourselves feel good right now. And a little retail therapy never hurt anyone, right? Especially since we’ve worked so hard organising our wardrobes… Whether it’s a ditsy floral dress for a hot summer days or a jeans and a nice top combo for when lockdown lifts and a night out with the girls calls, you deserve it.
