5 Ways To Work Spring Into Your Wardrobe

08/03/2023

back to blog

Seeing as spring officially starts this month we thought we should get ahead of the game and start prepping our wardrobes for the change in season, styles and weather. The start of a new season can sometimes leave us overwhelmed with a range of new trends and must-have items. We thought we’d help you out and round up 5 easy ways to work spring into your current wardrobe with a line-up of versatile and wearable pieces.

1. Change Out Your Winter Coat For A Lighter Layer

With the change in weather pending, we’ll shortly be swapping out our warm parkas and puffer coats for more lightweight jackets. Look to smart-casual jackets you’ll be reaching for this season and beyond. This classic big and tall lightweight jacket is great for styling over jeans and a shirt for an effortless smart look.

Denim jackets are always an essential. Get ready for spring styling with this denim jacket from D555. Made from 100% cotton, it features 4 pockets, button fastenings and long sleeves. This jacket will be your go-to during the transitional months. Throw it on over a t-shirt for your daily walk.

2. Opt For A Throw On Knit

As much as we’re excited for the new season and the warm weather that comes with it, it’s optimistic to assume we’ll have bright sunny skies every day. You can’t go wrong with having a throw-on jumper or cardigan to hand, in case the weather takes a turn.

Stock up on knits that can be added or removed to your outfits with ease. This cream jumper from Jack & Jones looks great styled with light denim for an spring-summer look. More of a cardigan man? Look to Kam’s knitted cardigan as a go-to throw on layer this season.

3. Add A Pop Of Colour

An easy way to bring your wardrobe out of winter is by adding a touch of colour to your everyday looks. We’ve been living in blacks, browns and blues – why not change it up with a colourful tee. This Jack & Jones t-shirt is in a fresh shade of green with a logo print, ideal for brightening up your everyday look.

Change up your black jeans for a spring-ready pair of blue denim jeans. Styled with white trainers and your new colourful t-shirt, you’ll be saving this look for post-lockdown outings.

4. Drawstring Trousers

It’s no secret that we’ve been living in our joggers and sweatpants for well, a whole year. Our love for all things comfortable isn’t going away anytime soon, so if you’re not quite ready to face denim again look to our cargo joggers for fashionable but comfortable trousers. Featuring a comfy elasticated waist with a drawstring, these joggers are the closest you can get to being in sweats whilst still looking (and feeling) smart. Style with a fresh white t-shirt for a go-to smart-casual outfit.

5. Stock Up On Short Sleeve Styles

Short sleeve tops are a must-have for when the weather warms up. Ideal for layering under knits and jackets, or for wearing on their own weather permitting. You can’t go wrong with having a selection of short sleeve styles to choose from throughout spring-summer. Polo shirts are perfect for smartening up your everyday look whereas t-shirts are a wardrobe essential. Go for lighter shades and fresh white options to help bring your everyday styling out of winter and straight into spring.
